Despite being at odds militarily, Yemen’s legitimate government and rebel Houthis have agreed to reject the U.S.’ so-called Deal of the Century, touted as a Mideast peace deal to widespread skepticism.

The legitimate Yemeni government stressed its firm stance supporting the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.

“Yemen’s position is consistent, firm and supportive and will not change regarding the Palestinian issue and the inalienable rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost of which is the establishment of its independent state and its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif,” meaning Jerusalem, Yemeni Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Hadhrami said in a statement posted
