ISTANBUL
Turkish women volleyball club Eczacibasi VitrA beat China’s Guangdong Evergrande 3-0 on Friday to reach semifinals at the 2019 Women’s FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship.
The Turkish club defeated Chinese opponent with 25-21, 25-9, 25-15 sets in Pool A game in Shaoxing, China.
Eczacibasi VitrA finished at second place in the Group A to face Group B leader Italy’s Igor Gorgonzola on Saturday.
Top two clubs in each group advance to the semifinals of the tournament that will end on Dec. 8.
