WASHINGTON

The House of Representatives will form a bipartisan committee to oversee the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday.

Congressman Jim Clyburn will oversee the House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis, she said.

“The greatness of our nation is in its ability to rise to extraordinary challenges, no matter how big,” Pelosi told reporters on a conference call. “Now is the time. We face a deadly virus and a battered economy with millions of Americans out of work.”
