Turkish basketball team Darussafaka Tekfen has signed a two-year deal with US power forward Ryan Shanahan Luther, the Istanbul club announced on Wednesday.
“Ryan was a valuable member of the University of Pittsburgh and University of Arizona basketball programs, which are rich with a sense of history and tradition,” the ING Basketball Super League club said on its website.
Luther had his professional debut in 2019-2020 with Latvia’s Ventpills.
Luther, 25, averaged 10.6 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in the Latvian Super League.
This season he also helped his team advance to the quarterfinals of the FIBA Europe Cup.
