Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime confidante of disgraced former financier Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested by the FBI in the US state of New Hampshire, according to a report released Thursday.
Two law-enforcement officials cited by NBC News 4 New York said Maxwell is accused of recruiting women, some minors, for Epstein.
Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan federal jail cell last August while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
The daughter of late media baron Robert Maxwell is expected to appear in federal court later Thursday.
She previously denied involvement in the Epstein case.
