The number of coronavirus cases in the U.K. has reached almost 800, a statement from the Department of Health said Friday.

The number of confirmed cases jumped by 208 in 24 hours and to stand at 798 as of 9 am (0900 GMT), the department said.

“A total of 32,771 people have been tested,” the department said in a statement, adding that 31,793 people tested negative.

Ten people have so far lost their lives from the contagion, which the World Health Organization declared a “global pandemic”.
