In an electrifying five-set match, Turkey’s women’s volleyball team defeated Serbia to secure their first-ever continental title at the 2023 CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship on Sunday. Held at Brussels’ Palais 12, the team, affectionately known as the “Sultans of the Nets,” triumphed with set scores of 27-25, 21-25, 25-22, 22-25, and 13-15.

In other tournament news, the Netherlands swept Italy in a straight three-set victory to claim third place.
