ANKARA

Medipol Basaksehir came back to the league with a 2-0 win against Aytemiz Alanyaspor on Saturday as the Turkish Super Lig returned this week.

Both teams were not able to break the deadlock in the first half at Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium in Istanbul but Basaksehir took the lead with Mahmut Tekdemir’s goal in the 64th minute.

The home team doubled the lead after Edin Visca found the net in the 79th minute and the match ended 2-0.

Basaksehir remained to chase the leaders Trabzonspor in the title race, with each teams collecting 56 points in 27 matches.

Turkish Super Lig restarted with coronavirus measures on Friday following the suspension of the league in March due to coronavirus.

All league matches are played without fans as part of coronavirus measures.
