Turkey’s benchmark stock index was up 0.59%, or 664.52 points to start Tuesday at 112,839.70 points.
On Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index went up 0.9% to 112,175.19 points with a daily trading volume of 10.96 billion Turkish liras ($1.84 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.9420 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, down from 5.9480 at Monday’s close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 6.5960, versus 6.5990, and one British pound traded for 7.7080 Turkish liras, while it was 7.7050 at the previous close.
