Turkey’s benchmark stock index went up 0.34%, or 382.68 points, to start Friday at 114,035.70 points.

On Thursday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index rose 0.29% to 113,653.02 points with a daily trading volume of 8.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.3 billion).

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.9400 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, up from 5.9350 at Thursday’s close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased to 6.6010, versus 6.5870, and one British pound traded for 7.7360 Turkish liras, while it was 7.7230 at the previous close.
