Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,325.29 points on Tuesday, up 3.25% compared to the previous close.
After starting the day at 1,302.25 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index rose 41.71 points from Monday’s close of 1,283.58 points.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 hovered between 1,287.62 and 1,308.24 points – 82 stocks on the index rose and 14 fell compared to the previous close.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 958 billion Turkish liras ($123 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 30 billion Turkish liras ($3.8 billion).
The price of one ounce of gold was $1,809.70 by market close, up from $1,758.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $47.54 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT) on Tuesday.
