Turkey’s benchmark stock index was up 0.28%, or 318.08 points to start Tuesday at 115,072.05 points.

On Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index went up 0.94% to 114,753.97 points with a daily trading volume of 9.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.65 billion).

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.9500 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, down from 5.9580 at Monday’s close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 6.6700, versus 6.6460, and one British pound traded for 7.8210 Turkish liras, while it was 7.8140 at the previous close.
