Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,867.71 points on Friday, up 4.06 points, or 0.22%, from the previous close.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index closed the day at 1,863.65 points, decreasing 31.81 points, or 1.68%, with a daily trading volume of 24 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 13.1810 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 12.9980 at Thursday’s close.
The euro/lira exchange rate was down to 14.9580 from 14.6610, while a British pound traded for 17.8350 liras, decreasing from 17.5980.
Brent crude oil sold for around $79.5 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
