ANKARA
Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 0.27%, or 302.54 points, to start the week at 111,479.29 points on Monday.
On Friday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index went up 0.52% to 111,176.75 points with a daily trading volume of 10.3 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.9400 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, up from 5.9390 at last week’s close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly rose to 6.5890, versus 6.5860, and one British pound traded for 7.7530 Turkish liras, while it was 7.7580 at the previous close.
