Turkey’s benchmark stock index was down 3.49%, or 3,341.25 points on Monday to start the week at 92,263.97 points.

At Friday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 2.1% at 95,605.22 points, with a daily trading volume of 9.5 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion).

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 6.3410 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, versus 6.3100 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 7.0620, compared to 7.0220, and one British pound traded for 7.8480 Turkish liras. It was 7.9080 at the last week’s close.
