ANKARA
Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 0.18%, or 185.67 points, to start the week at 105,568.14 points on Tuesday.
On Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was down 1.13% at 105,382.42 points with a daily trading volume of 10.5 billion Turkish liras (some $1.84 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.7450 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, compared to 5.7410 at yesterday’s close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 6.3310, versus 6.3260, and one British pound traded for 7.4270 Turkish liras, while it was 7.4090 at the previous close.
