Turkey’s parliament speaker on Monday met with Moldova’s president, who is paying a one-day visit to the capital Ankara.

Beforehand, Mustafa Sentop touted his meeting with Igor Dodon.

“I see this high-level visit as a sign of our placing importance on relations between the two countries,” he said.

After the meeting, Sentop offered a luncheon in Dodon’s honor.

During his visit, Dodon is also due to meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, where the countries will sign a number of agreements on cooperation on security and other issues.
