Turkish ships arrived at Ukraine’s Odessa seaport on Wednesday under a NATO anti-mine force.

According to a report by the Ukrainian army news agency Armyinform, four ships, including the TCG Sokullu Mehmet Pasa and TCG Ayvalik of Turkey, as well as the ESPS TAJO of Spain and Lupu Dinescu of Romania, entered the waters of the Odessa seaport.

The four ships in the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group Two (SNMCMG2) are expected to hold joint training efforts with the Ukrainian Navy in the Black Sea.

Turkey took over the command of SNMCMG2 on Feb. 20 for two months after a ceremony that took place in Istanbul, Turkey on Feb. 19.
