Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu spoke with NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg over the phone in the wee hours of Friday, according to diplomatic sources.
No information on the topic of discussion was disclosed.
The phone call came after nine Turkish soldiers were martyred in a Syrian regime attack in northwestern province of Idlib.
