The Turkish Coast Guard reported the rescue of 129 irregular migrants in separate operations across the Aegean Sea, according to a statement released on Sunday. Thirty-three were rescued from the Ayvacık district in Canakkale province, 25 from the Kusadası district in Aydın province, and 71 from Izmir province.

The latter group was reportedly pushed into Turkish waters by Greek forces, a practice that Turkey and global human rights organizations have consistently criticized as violating international law and humanitarian principles. All rescued migrants were transferred to provincial migration management directorates for processing.
