ANKARA
A civilian in trouble after falling off a cliff in northwestern Turkey on Tuesday was rescued by Turkish Armed Forces search and rescue teams, officials said.
The civilian fell off the cliff in Valla Canyon in Pinarbasi district of Kastamonu province and was saved by air force search and rescue teams, said a Defense Ministry statement.
The rescued civilian was taken to a nearby hospital, it said, adding that “the Turkish Armed Forces always stand ready to serve the public.”
