ANKARA
Turkey’s Sidre Ozer won a bronze medal Wednesday at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Ozer, 18, formed part of the “Blue Team” in Ice Hockey Mixed NOC 3-on-3. Her team finished in third place, defeating the “Brown Team” 6-4.
With the medal, Turkey bags its first medal during the six-day event of the Olympic Games.
Turkey’s Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu congratulated Ozer on Twitter and wished her good luck.
A total of 1,880 athletes between 15-18 years of age from at least 70 countries are expected to participate at the Winter Youth Olympic
