ANKARA
Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose by 0.32%, or 333.84 points, to start Tuesday at 103,452.32 points.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index fell 34.73 points to close the day at 103,118.48 points with a daily trading volume of 7.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.3 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly fell to 5.7730 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, compared to 5.7750 at Monday’s close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also marginally went down to 6.3740, versus 6.3780, and one British pound traded for 7.4440 Turkish liras, while it was 7.4510 at the previous close.
