Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 0.16% or 184.95 points on Thursday, to start the day at 113,514.17 points.
At Wednesday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index increased 0.16% to reach 113,329.22 points with a daily trading volume of 5.8 billion Turkish liras ($0.98 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.9400 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Thursday, compared to 5.9390 at Wednesday’s close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also fell slightly to 6.5860, versus 6.5890, and one British pound traded for 7.7340 Turkish liras, versus 7.7280 at the previous close.
