Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 0.33%, or 404.72 points, on Monday to start the week at 121,879.47 points.

At the last week’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.39% at 121,474.75 points, with a daily trading volume of 10.5 billion Turkish liras ($1.8 billion).

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was unchanged at 5.8950 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, versus the last week’s closing rate.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also stood at 6.5440, and one British pound traded for 7.6760 Turkish liras, versus 7.7080 at the previous close.
