Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 0.91% to 118,807.53 points at close on Thursday.
After starting the day at 118,792.38 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index increased 1,066.44 points from Tuesday’s close of 117,741.10 points.
The stock exchange was closed on Wednesday due to a public holiday, July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
During the day, the index hovered between 118,734.79 and 119,451.34 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was 868 billion Turkish liras ($126 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 20.6 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).
