Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed the day at 105,983.14 points on Tuesday, up 0.57% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index started the day at 105,568.14 points. As of the daily close, it earned 600.72 points from Monday’s close of 105,382.42 points.
During Tuesday’s trading, the index hovered between 104,718.29 points and 106,162.31 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 719.3 billion Turkish liras ($125.77 billion) by market close, and the daily trading volume was 10 billion Turkish liras (some $1.75 billion).
On the second transaction day of the week, 58 stocks on the index rose, 39 were down, and three were flat compared to Monday.
