Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 2.41%, or 2,497.03 points, on Tuesday to start the week at 106,021.05 points.

At Monday’s close, with the “oil prices shock” experienced yesterday, the BIST 100 Index, which lost 5.54% in parallel with the strong sales in the world stock markets, completed the day at 103.524.02 points.

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 6.1520 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, versus 6.1170 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate decreased to 6,9850, compared to 6.9920, and one British pound traded for 8.0430 Turkish liras. It was 8.0310
