Amid global fears over the coronavirus outbreak, Turkey’s benchmark stock index on Thursday closed at 110,418.37 points, falling 4.13% from the previous close.  

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index started the day at 113,975.54 points. As of the daily close, it had lost 4,752.90 points from Wednesday’s close of 115,171.27 points. 

During the day, the index hovered between 110,418.37 points and 114,463.57 points. 

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 770.8 billion Turkish liras ($125.4 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 13.9 billion Turkish liras ($.3 billion).
