Turkey’s benchmark stock index dropped 0.60% or 732.97 points, on Tuesday to start the day at 121,886.80 points.

At Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.94% at 122,619.77 points, hitting historical high, with a daily trading volume of 11.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion).

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.9300 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, compared to Monday’s closing rate of 5.9190.
