Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,363.28 points on Friday, down 0.29% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 1,370.32 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 3.97 points from Wednesday’s close of 1,367.25 points.
The price of one ounce of gold was $1,821 by market close, up from $1,810 on Wednesday, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $73.80 per barrel as of 6.36 p.m. local time (1536GMT).
Borsa Istanbul was closed on Thursday as the country observed the Democracy and National Unity Day to mark the anniversary of the defeated coup on July 15, 2016.
