Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed the day at 115,190.05 points on Monday, up 1.39% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index started the week at 114,711.23 points. As of the daily close, it increased 1,578.16 points from Friday’s close of 113,611.89 points.
During the day, the index’s lowest level was 114,267.16 points, while the highest was 115,447.43 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 827 billion Turkish liras ($120 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 23.5 billion Turkish liras ($3.4 billion).
The price of one ounce of gold was $1,745.35 by market close, up from $1,731.80 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent oil was $42.38 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Monday.
