ANKARA

The ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party lawmaker Mustafa Yeneroglu resigned from the party on Wednesday.

“In line with the demand of the president, I resign from AK Party,” Yeneroglu, lawmaker from Istanbul province, told reporters at the parliament.

Ahead of my resignation, I was accused of being “opportunist,” and “self-seeker,” Yeneroglu said.

“As everybody knows, these accusations have not changed my stance,” he added.
