WASHINGTON
U.S. President Donald Trump ordered Thursday the Navy not to remove Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher from its elite SEALs special operation force.
“The Navy will NOT be taking away Warfighter and Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s Trident Pin,” Trumps said on Twitter. “This case was handled very badly from the beginning. Get back to business!”
The Navy Trident is the pin that symbolizes a special operator’s membership in the SEALs, and its removal would have effectively ended his career in the elite group of warfighters.
