ANKARA
The Tokyo Marathon 2021 has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers said on Friday.
The race scheduled for March 7 will now be held on Oct. 17 next year, according to a statement.
“The Tokyo Marathon 2021 will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, with the furtherance to deliver elite and mass races together in the original field size,” it said.
The statement said related events, include a virtual marathon for global participation and running events within Tokyo, will be held in early March 2021.
