Real Madrid won the 2020 Spanish Super Cup on Sunday, defeating their rivals Atletico Madrid 4-1 on penalties.

With the score 0-0 at the end of regular time, the match at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia went into extra time.

Real Madrid’s Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde was dismissed in the 115th minute with a red card after he brought down Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata.
