ANKARA
Spanish basketball powerhouse Real Madrid prolonged the contract of their veteran Rudy Fernandez until 2022 on Friday.
“Real Madrid C.F. and Rudy Fernandez have agreed on the extension of the player’s contract, which sees him linked to the club until 30 June 2022,” the club said on their website.
Rudy, 34, has been spending his ninth season with Real Madrid as he joined this club in 2011.
The Spanish international was picked for the All-EuroLeague first team in the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons.
This season, he averaged 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2 assists in 18 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague
