ANKARA 

The German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig secured future of Lukas Klostermann four more years, the club confirmed on Friday.

“Defensively he is very versatile, which gives us many options. Lukas is very important to us and we’re convinced that he is important to us and the team will continue to grow,” sporting director Markus Krosche said on club’s website.

The 23-year-old defender joined Leipzig from another German side, Bochum, in August 2014.

Klostermann also said that he is very pleased to make a deal with the club, adding that: “I look back on a successful journey so far with the club; there is so much potential for more success in the future and I want to be a part of it.”

Producing 11 goals and 10 assists, Klostermann made 159 appearances with his team, he also was capped for 8 matches for Germany.
