North Macedonia is set to receive the first batch of the Pfizer vaccine in February, said Health Minister Venko Filipce on Monday.

US company Pfizer will deliver 5,850 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as a first batch of a total of 800,000 for 2021.

“Delivery of a larger quantity of vaccines will come in March and April, and we will determine the dynamics for the whole of 2021 later,” said Filipce on social media.

To date Northern Macedonia has registered 84,024 cases of coronavirus and 2,530 deaths. The Balkan country has a population of over 2 million.
