The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 121-108 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday to avoid elimination.
The Celtics’ young star duo Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum combined for 59 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists in the do or die game.
In the third quarter, the Celtics outscored the Heat 41-25, took over the lead and never looked back.
For the Heat, Duncan Robinson scored 20 points, Goran Dragic scored 23 but unable to win and advance to the NBA Finals.
