KUWAIT CITY
Kuwait’s foreign minister met with his French counterpart and discussed bilateral relations and ways to address regional and global challenges, local media reported on Thursday.
According to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Kuwait’s Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah and France’s Jean-Yves Le Drian commended “strong relations” between the two countries and voiced commitment to pursue more areas of cooperation.
The news agency said Al-Sabah spoke over the phone with his British counterpart Dominic Raab to discuss regional and global developments. The two sides stressed the importance of cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
The discussions come amid an increase in armed conflicts and political tensions in the region during the past months, particularly in Libya, Yemen, and Syria.
