Juventus will play without midfielder Sami Khedira for the next three months due to his knee injury, the club said in a statement.

Serie A club confirmed on Wednesday that the German international underwent arthroscopic knee surgery.

Juventus said that the surgery was “very successful” and Khedira is ready to start rehabilitation.

”The arthroscopic “cleaning” intervention of Sami Khedira’s left knee took place today in Augsburg, Germany. The expected recovery time is around three months,” the club added.

Having played 17 matches this season, the 32-year-old midfielder made one assist for Juventus.
