Ivory Coast has imposed a quarantine on Abidjan, the most densely populated city of the West African country, as of Monday, in the wake of first death from the novel coronavirus.

On Sunday, Health Minister Raymonde Goudou Coffie confirmed that a people infected with COVID-19 died in Abidjan, the country’s economic capital.

The cases of deadly contagious disease in the West African country have risen to 165 after some 64 new infections have been reported over the last two days. Four cases have recovered from the disease in the country meanwhile.
