Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday met with Bahraini officials as part of his one-day visit to Bahrain.

According to his spokesman Ofir Gendelman, Bennett met with the Bahraini ministers of foreign affairs, industry and transport.

He said that Bennett discussed with the Bahraini top officials ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of innovation, economy and technology along with economic projects between “Jewish and Muslim businessmen.”

According to Gendelman, Bennett hailed the strong and effective ties between Israeli ministers and their Bahraini counterparts.

On Monday, Bennett arrived in Bahrain on his first ever visit to the Gulf nation.

Bahrain is among the four Arab countries that signed US-sponsored agreements to normalize their relations with Israel in 2020.
