JERUSALEM

An Israeli delegation set off for Sudan on Monday, the Israel’s public broadcaster said.

The Public Broadcasting Corporation cited anonymous Israeli sources as saying that the delegation arrived in Sudan “prior to signing agreements between the two countries,” without disclosing further details.

Israel announced that it was sending a delegation to Sudan last week, but its departure was postponed without explanation.

The Sudanese authorities are yet to comment.

Sudan declared last month its official normalization of relations with Israel and a halt to any “aggression” with Tel Aviv.
