TEHRAN
A massive fire broke out in an industrial area near the Iranian capital Tehran on Tuesday, according to state television.
The fire erupted in the Jajrud industrial area, while the cause of the blaze remains unclear and under investigation by the authorities.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
Tuesday’s incident was the latest in a series of mysterious similar incidents that impacted Iran since late June, most of which occurred near major military and nuclear installations, as well as industrial centers and power plants, all of which raised doubts about deliberate sabotage actions.
Earlier, Iranian officials categorically denied reports of “foreign hands” in these incidents, which began on June 26, with an explosion near the Parchin military complex, northeast of Tehran.
