World-famous courier firm DHL on Monday prolonged its longtime partnership with Formula One before the start of the 2021 season.
“With the FIA Formula 1 World Championship about to begin, DHL and Formula 1 is proud to announce the extension of their long-standing global partnership, which spans across a number of decades,” DHL said in a statement.
It added that DHL, which has been sponsoring Formula 1 since 2004, will go on to back the motorsports championship in logistics as the firm transports race cars, fuel, oil, and equipment for the teams.
“We are proud to continue our unique partnership for years to come,” Global Head of Brand Marketing at DHL Arjan Sissing said.
Meanwhile, Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said he was very happy to renew the DHL partnership deal.
“DHL is our longest standing global partner and we are delighted to have signed a partnership extension that demonstrates our strong and collaborative relationship,” Domenicali said.
The 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship will start on March 28 with the Bahrain Grand Prix and it will end in December with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
This year’s calendar will have 23 races, the largest Formula 1 season ever.
