A farewell reception was held Thursday evening in Ankara for India’s Ambassador to Turkey, Sanjay Bhattacharyya. 

Bhattacharyya, who came to Ankara in 2018, will depart after completing his term later this week.

“Although my stay here has been shorter than I had anticipated, it has been very beautiful,” Bhattacharyya told Anadolu Agency during the reception at the Indian embassy.

“The Turkish people are so warm and hospitable and friendly that I found a ‘brother’ wherever I traveled across Turkey,” he said, noting he will cherish these memories for the rest of his life.
