Four astronauts from the Crew-6 mission have safely touched Earth, landing off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida, in a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft.
According to a NASA statement, the team consisted of NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, UAE astronaut Sultan Alneyadi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. They returned at 12:17 a.m. EDT after a mission run jointly by NASA and SpaceX.
SpaceX recovery teams promptly retrieved the spacecraft and its crew. The astronauts will head to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston for further evaluation and debriefing.
NASA Administrator Bill Nelson praised the mission, noting that the astronauts completed “hundreds of scientific experiments for the benefit of all humanity” while logging nearly 79 million miles (127 million kilometers) during their six-month sojourn.
