ANKARA
Turkey’s national football team expressed concern over their forward Cenk Tosun, who suffered a groin injury during Wednesday’s training session.
Speaking to Turkish TV channel TRT Spor, team manager Senol Gunes confirmed that Tosun, 28, is injured but Turkey “will do its best with active players” against Iceland on Thursday.
In Wednesday’s pre-match press conference, Gunes said the Everton forward suffered a groin injury while passing the ball.
